The Australian village of Falls Creek provides with some of the best snow conditions of all ski resorts in the state of Victoria. The beautiful alpine resort has four hundred and fifty hectares of skiable terrain for the downhill riding, as well as cat skiing in Mt McKay.
Falls Creek is situated at 1500 m. above the sea level, and the highest lift is at 1842 m. There are 18 lift facilities with capacity of 25000 riders/hour, giving access to 30 black pistes, 43 red pistes, 27 blue slopes and two green runs. The resort has and two hundred snow cannons for artificial snow making covering twenty-five kilometers of ski slopes.
Falls Creek hotels, chalets and other accommodation is widespread and of excellent quality. Visitors have a good choice from a Swiss-Austrian type lodges, hotels with ski hire, pools, sauna and spa to apartments rental suitable for larger groups of tourists. The nearest public airport to Falls Creek is Albury and there are various options to reach the resorts from there, such as self-driving, by train, coaches, etc.
