Situated in the northern area of Kosciuszko National Park and Snowy River Shire (New South Wales), only seven kilometers away from Kiandra, the winter village of Selwyn Snowfields (1492 meters elevation) is mainly a family oriented resort, suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The snow sports at Selwyn Snowfields include downhill skiing/snowboarding, cross-country, snow shoeing, tobogganing. The ski resort is also close to the town of Adaminaby, and Cabramurra - which is the highest town in Australia and only two hour drive from the capital Canberra. Selwyn Snowfields has good variety of accommodations - quality hotels, bed & breakfast, motels, ski lodges and chalets, holiday houses, cottages, cabins and apartments for rent. Also many visitors stay in the nearby town of Talbingo which is on around half hour drive from the ski pistes.

Selwyn Snowfields has twelve lifts with capacity of 9500 riders per hour providing them with an access to a skiable area of over forty-five hectares. Also 12 snow cannons for artificial snow making cover over eighty percent of the resorts terrain. Selwyn Snowfields is a year-round holiday resort and one can practice different activities, such as horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, bushwalking and touring the region by car.
